Entrepreneurs of Tomorrow

NBBCC | Entrepreneurs of TomorrowIn 2006, the North Bay Black Chamber proudly launched our annual fundraiser – Entrepreneurs of Tomorrow, specifically designed to provide support to local youth programs, mentoring and scholarships for high school and college students. The previous years’ donations have benefited the Ben Thornton Heart Fund, Youth Business Week, Rites of Passage, Sonoma County Family YMCA, Roseland University Prep Charter School and Camp Fame. Over the last 7 years, with the community’s help, our efforts have raised over $145,000 for these programs.  We are very proud to announce this year’s recipient will be Fence at the Top, which is a mentoring program for at risk youth in Sonoma County formed by Honor Jackson. We will also be presenting scholarships to two African-American high school or college students at the gala.

This year’s Entrepreneur of Tomorrow event will be held on Friday, September 27th, 2013 at the Mary Agatha Furth Center located at 8400 Old Redwood Highway in Windsor. The VIP Reception will be from 4-530 and the program will be from 6-9, with dancing and live music by Ric Alexander from 9-11. Our Keynote speaker is Cliff Branch-former Raiders NFL Player. Mr. Branch spent his entire 14-year NFL career with the Oakland/Los Angeles Raiders, winning three Super Bowl rings in Super Bowl XI, Super Bowl XV and Super Bowl XVIII. He's truly an inspiration and we are honored to have him as our keynote speaker this year.

We would also like to welcome Dr. Aisha Lowe executive director of Stand up which is an education nonprofit dedicated to ensuring every child has the opportunity to attend an excellent public school. The information she will be providing is dynamic and you will not want to miss her presentation.

NBBCC | Entrepreneurs of Tomorrow | ScholarshipWe will be celebrating our 10 year anniversary by honoring our members that have been with us from the very beginning. This will be a black tie gala and we will have live performances, inspiring guest speakers, a silent auction and raffle in which all the proceeds from the silent auction and raffle will benefit Fence at the Top.

Once again we appreciate your consideration of support for this extraordinary event. We would love an opportunity to meet with you and discuss the details of our Entrepreneur of Tomorrow Foundation and our mentoring program “Young Entrepreneurs”. Know that your contribution is making a difference in the community.
